A peculiar database-program ...

TreeBase is a software program, designed to make and manage a hiërarchical text-database. It is build like a tree: a main barnch, seperate (numerous) following branches until you reach the end leaf: your required information. Such a tree-structure can be found on your disk-system, too but Treebase holds the information in one (quite small) file.
As an example: starting from the root "Model Railroad", one can branch towards "countries", next "Belgium", "Rolling stock", "Diesel" ... to finally reach a reference in which magazine issue a product-description of the Roco 59 series can be found in your magazine.

I have written this program because I wanted to catalogue my vast amount of books and magazines. With Treebase, I can search for subjects and find (print) a reference-list of related topics. With this printed list, I can search the bookshelves more efficiently.

It is possible there are still some bugs in the program. I would appreciate it if you would report them to me, in order to make a better Treebase 2.1 or 3.0

TreeBase has no helpfile. It's just not that complex to use, although its intuitivity might not be that straighforward. Just using it will help you out most of the time, but there's a user-manual here.

TreeBase is freeware. It is a complete program, without any limitations. The sourch, however is mine and remains mine. You are alowed to download it for your own use. I don't want any money for it, although you can always contact me for a voluntary contribution.
